Tell us a little about your business—what do you sell, and who are your main customers? Washington Wellness Center is a functional medicine clinic offering services like an infrared sauna, counseling, neurofeedback, and a health market. Dr. Taylor sees patients virtually and in person, addressing conditions like autoimmunity, mold exposure, POTS, and more. The center’s health market features supplements, TENS devices, natural body care, and food products. He also has a podcast called the Autoimmune Doc Podcast so many of his patients have autoimmunity. In addition to that, mold, histamine issues, POTS, and RA (just to name a few) are some other things that patients are dealing with. In our store we sell supplements, TENS devices, natural body care products and natural food products.
What inspired you to start your business, and how did it all begin? After graduating, Dr. Taylor and his wife opened their first wellness clinic, Align Utah, in Salt Lake City. Over six years, they helped patients lose weight, reverse chronic illnesses, and reclaim their health. Align Utah was even voted Best of Utah in Alternative Medicine. In 2018, the couple moved to Illinois to bring holistic healthcare resources to Central Illinois.
What makes your brand unique in the market? What are you most proud of? Our dedication to helping patients with chronic health conditions sets us apart. Seeing patients take control of their health and improve their quality of life is what we’re most proud of.

What challenges did you face with payment processing before using Bankful? We experienced chargebacks and were dropped suddenly by a previous payment processor, which left us scrambling for alternatives.
Were there any specific issues in your industry that made finding a payment processor challenging? Yes, our high-risk items, such as NAC (found in supplements), CBD oil, and TENS Units, made it difficult to find a payment processor willing to work with us.
